A flexible piezoelectric strip: the slightest knock, a vibration or a mere touch bends it and makes a voltage. Powered at 5 V, it works as a touch switch or a jolt detector.
Sensirion SHT40 sensor on a mikroBUS board, I²C. Temperature and relative humidity for an ambient station, at a modest price. Runs on both 3.3 V and 5 V.
Delivery within 2 to 4 business days.
AH1389 magnetic detector on a mikroBUS board, with relay output. Detects a magnet without contact: door opening, shutter position, revolution counting.
Delivery within 2 to 4 business days.
Waterproof stainless-steel DS18B20 temperature probe on a one-metre lead. 1-Wire bus: several probes on a single wire, -55 to 125 degrees. For a water heater, a pond or a heating circuit.
Delivery within 2 to 4 business days.
DFRobot Fermion MEMS sensor (MiCS-2714), responsive to NO2, NO and hydrogen. Enough to watch a room's air or track down a leak, on a compact build.
Delivery within 2 to 4 business days.
A capacitive soil moisture probe: no bare electrode to corrode in the dirt, so it lasts. Analog output over 3.3 to 5.5 V, for watering that waits until it is actually needed.
Delivery within 2 to 4 business days.
Vishay VEML7700 sensor on a mikroBUS board. Ambient light in lux over a wide range, via I²C, with a response close to the human eye.
Delivery within 2 to 4 business days.
Infineon DPS422 sensor on a mikroBUS board. Barometric pressure and temperature over I²C or SPI, with very low power draw for battery builds.
Delivery within 2 to 4 business days.
Bosch BMP280 barometer on a mikroBUS board. Atmospheric pressure and temperature over I²C or SPI, fine enough to work as a metre-accurate altimeter.
